Change in VAT rates

Accordance with the law:

• VAT on food and beverages currently subject to 5% tax is to drop to 0,
• 23% VAT on motor fuels (diesel oil, biocomponents constituting self-contained fuels, gasoline, LPG gas) is to drop to 8%,
• VAT on fertilizers, plant protection chemicals, horticultural soil and other measures supporting agricultural production is to drop to 0 from 8%,
• VAT on CNG gas drops from 8% to 0%,
• drop from 8% to 5% on thermal energy.

The act will require a change in the assignment of tax rates in fiscal devices.
